Kezel’s Flower Shop imposes a 45% mark-up on cost for the roses delivered to customers. The

cost of each rose is ₱50.00. During All Saint’s Day, however, an additional mark-on of 30% of the

regular selling price is added on. How much is the selling price of each rose during All Saint’s Day

at this flower shop?

During All Saint’s Day,  an additional mark-on of 30% of the  regular selling price is added on.

To Find : How much is the selling price of each rose during All Saint’s Day  

at this flower shop?

Solution:

Cost of Rose =  ₱50.00

45% mark-up on cost  = (45/100)50  = 22.5 ₱

Regular Selling Price  = 50 + 22.5  = 72.5 ₱

During All Saint’s Day an additional mark-on of 30% of the  regular selling price is added on.

Add on = (30/100) 72.5  = 21.75 ₱

selling price of each rose during All Saint’s Day  at this flower shop

= 72.5  + 21.75 ₱

=  94.25  ₱
