Answer:

Although Kezia believed that her father was a cruel and a harsh man but she felt guilty in the end as she understood that her father also needed sympathy.

She was afraid of her father because he was a big man with giant hands and mouth. once granny asked her to prepare a gift for her father so that she could develop better relationships with her father. But unknowingly, she tore some important pages of her father and got a harsh punishment. After this incident she was even more terrified of her father. Once her mother and grandmother were not not at home, and she was alone with her cook(Alice) and her father. As always she had a nightmare about a butcher with a knife and laughing dangerously. She screamed with fear and her father came in her bedroom and took her to his bedroom. He laid her on the bed and slept beside her. She was shivering so he asked her to rub his feet with hers. Her head was on her father's chest and she could hear his heartbeat. At that time she understood that her father worked hard and so he didn't play with her and felt that he was also a human and needed sympathy and concern.
