Bhangar soils are less fertile as they are above flood level whereas Khadar soils are more fertile as they are below flood level. Bhanger is full of kankers(lime module) and khadar soil is composed of fine silt & clay. Mark it Brainly baby plll

Khadar and Bangar are the types of alluvial soil on the basis of its age.

Explanation:

  • Alluvial soil are categorised classified into 2 groups on the basis of its age - the bhangar and the khadar.
  • The Khadar (new alluvial) is light in color and is composed  of newer deposits. The bhangar (old alluvial) is made up of kanker or lime nodules and its composition is clayey
  • As new layers are deposited every year in the monsoon season, Khadar is usually more fertile. On the other hand, the bhangar soil can be cultivated utilising manure.
  • The khadar are usually found in the low areas of the valley, beneath valley that is flooded each  year. The Bhangar are usually found in higher reaches, apporximately 30 mts above the flood level.
