  • Khaira disease in rice is caused due to the zinc deficiency. They appeared in rice as smaller patches in the nursery or could be seen in main fields.  
  • They can be found in chlorophyll part of the leaves with bronzed spots. These spots then get spread in the whole leaf blade which becomes bronze colored entirely.  
  • It will be resulted in no grains or diseased plant. In order to control this, zinc sulphate has to be sprayed along with lime.
