Yes, the statement is true that Khushwant Singh's grandmother is considerate towards animals. In the early years, when Khushwant was young, his grandmother used to accompany him to the school. During this short trip, she would take some stale chappatis for the stray dogs which they would meet on their way to school. Even after they shifted to the city, Khushwant's grandmother developed a habit of feeding the sparrows whoch would come in the yard. They would chirp, peck her, and would even sit on her head but she would never shoo them away. Instead, she just happily broke the bread and tossed it to them. All these examples are evidences to the statement that the author's grandmother was considerate towards animals.
