4 years later Ranu will be twice as old as Ram imples that

2(x+4) = y+4

2x + 8 = y + 4———————————————————————-(2)

SUBSTRACTING EQN 2 FROM 1

we get

x=1 & y=6

So, Present ages of Ram and Ranu are 1 and 6 respectively.
