Answer:

Kind words can unlock iron doors:

James was a young boy. He noticed almost every day that there was a particular boy in his neighbourhood who everyone make fun of him. This poor boy was a loner with no friends. People say lots of bad things about him. Parents tell their children not to go near him or talk to him.

James thought this was wrong and decided to become his friend. Their friendship developed quickly as James said kind words to him every day to make him happy. The boy introduced himself as Matthew who loves painting and playing almost all games and sports. Matthew became happier and more confident. Many boys were not happy with James for hanging around him. Within a short time James and other boys realized that he wasn't the kind of person everybody thought he was. The boys in the community completely stopped making fun of him. Parents too started to greet Matthew when they see him. All the young kids wanted to be in the company of James and Matthew.

Some kind words by James changed Matthew. In the process the hearts of others around him were changed. (Story by Selie Visa)

"Kind words can unlock iron door"

It's amazing what kindness can do.

It can enrich your life, build the foundation for wonderful relationships. Even when meeting people, paying them a genuine compliment is a nice way to start a friendship.

While this proverb is probably talking about getting impossible people or situations to open up, I think the proverb also works for blogging. Those who share positive energy in their posts, kindness, and understanding also build readerships and communities of kindness. The “iron door” being the flighty audience that is the internet. Kind words break through that “iron door” to an emotional connection, by sharing stories that provoke positive feelings, inspire and motivate.

This week, when writing posts, think, “How can my blog show kindness?” Perhaps you'll unlock a few iron doors you never knew were there.

Conclusion: Kind words can unlock iron doors is a proverb about getting impossible situations of dealing with people to open up when we are kind in our words. Harsh words make a bad situation worse. Kind words break through the iron door of emotional connection.
