Σ Iin = Σ Iout ,the Conservation of Charge

I1 and I2 entering the same junction.

That is IT = I1 + I2.

= IT – (I1 + I2) = 0.

= IT – I2

= 9 – 2

= 7 amps,

and I2 = IT – I1  

= 9 – 7  

= 2 amps.
