Let the females are represented by x and males are represented by y

Given that Number of females is 5 more than 1/5th of the male employees.

x = y/5 + 5  

5x = y + 25 

y = 5x - 25 ------ (1)


Given that Number of employees = 65

x + y = 65  ---- (2)


Substitute (1) in (2), we get

x + 5x - 25 = 65

6x - 25 = 65

6x = 90

x = 90/6

x = 15.


Substitute x = 15 in (2), we get

x + y = 65

15 + y = 65

y = 65 - 15

y = 50.



Therefore, the number of females employees in the office = 15.
