A father is 20 years older than his son. In 4 years time he will be twice as old as his son. Determine their present ages.

Answer:

let the age of son be x

according to question x+20 year =fathers age

after 4 year

x+20+4=2x

24=x

present age of son= 24year

present age of father =24+20=44

proof=44+4=48=24×2
