No triangle PQR and LMN are not congruent because congruent triangles have equal angles.

Question Number 3:


In Δ PQR, the given measures are :


∠ P = 60°, ∠ Q = 50° , ∠ R = 70°


In Δ LMN, the given measures are :


∠ L = 80° , ∠ M = 40° , ∠ N = 60°


So for two triangles to be congruent they must have some sort of criteria with angles and sides. But here we have only angles. Hence we can check similarity of triangles.


All congruent triangles are similar triangles.


Similar triangles are triangles in which both the triangles that are compared have either equal sides or proportional sides. But in the above case we can check for equal angles alone.


Since the angles are different in each case except ∠ P and ∠ N, the triangles are not said to be similar. Hence they are therefore not congruent to each other.
