therefore,L = L-L/10 = 10L-L/10 = 9L/10

therefore,B = B+B/5 = 5B+B/5 =6B/5

the new perimeter of new rectangle is

2{9L/10+6B/5}

give that the perimeter of the new rectangle=240

now, 2×{9L/10+6b/5}=240

9L/10+(6B/5)×2 = 120

=9L/10+12B/10. =120

= 9L +12B/10 =120

=9L+ 12B = 1200 _______ (2)

multiple ing equation (1) by 9 and subtracting from 2, we have

3B =120

B = 40

and L = 80. ans.
