Kindly Solve with steps for Brainliest

A lizard is running after its prey at the speed of 10m/s. The prey is 5m away. When the lizard covers 2m, it starts running at the speed of 4m/s. After how much time will the lizard catch its prey?

Answer: Answer = 0.95 Seconds Explanation: Here is the Explanation:- When the lizard runs at the speed of 10m/s. It will take 0.2 seconds to cover 2 meters. then, its speed gets reduced to 4 m/s. so,  time taken to cover 1m in 4m/s = 0.25 seconds. so, Remaning distance = 5- 2m                                        = 3 m so , 3*0.25 = 0.75 seconds. Total Time taken = 0.75 seconds + 0.2 seconds Total Time = 0.95 Seconds.
