Explanation:

let the mass of a car = m kg then the mass of the truck = 16 m kg

velocity of car is v m/s and velocity of truck is V m/s

given that:

K.E. of car = K.E. of truck

1/2.m.v.^2 = 1/2.(16m).V^2

or v^2/V^2=16/1

or v/V = 4,

v=4.V...............(1)

momentum of truck /momentum of car = (16m)×V/(m×v)

= 16.V/v, putting v=4.V from eq (1)

=16.V/4.V=4 or 4:1

Answer is 4:1
