Solution :-
Here given that , the velocity is havled and mass is doubled .
So now the values will be ,
- Mass = 2m
- velocity = v/2
Now , by substituting them
=> K.E = 1/2 mv²
=> K.E = 1/2 × ( 2m ) × ( v/2 )²
=> K.E = 1/2 × ( 2m ) × ( v²/2² )
=> K.E = m × [ v²/4 ]
=> K.E = mv²/4
It can be written as ,
=> K.E = 1/2 × mv²/2
Here , as we know that 1/2 × mv² = K.E
=> K.E = K.E/2
Hence , if velocity is halved and mass is doubled then K.E. will be halved
