answer : option (C) 60R

explanation : from kinetic theory of gases,

kinetic energy of gaseous molecule is given by, K.E = 3nRT/2

where n is number of mole , R is universal gas constant and T is temperature in Kelvin.

given weight of CO2 = 4.4g

molecular weight of CO2 = 44g/mol

n = 4.4/44 = 0.1

temperature , T = 127° = 127 + 273 = 400K

now, K.E = 3 × 0.1 × R × 400/2

= 60R

hence, kinetic energy of given molecules is 60R
