Mass = m

Velocity = v

Formula of kinetic energy = 1/2(mv²)

When velocity is doubled,

Velocity = v

KE = 1/2×(m)×(2v)²

= 1/2×(m)×(4)×(v)²

=2mv²

When velocity is thrice,

Velocity = 3v

KE = 1/2×(m)×(3)×(v)²

=1/2×(m)×(9)×(v)²

=9/2(mv²)
