In the TV serial Tenali Rama, Chinna Devi has been shown as King Krishnadevaraya's senior wife and the chief queen while Tirumalamba has been portrayed as his junior wife. Actually Tirumalamba or Tirumala Devi was his senior wife and chief queen or patta mahishi.
Tirumalamba was the princess of Srirangapattana. The King had married her in 1498. Chinna Devi was a courtesan whom the King married immediately after ascending the throne. She was his junior wife.
