Kingdom fungi have cell wall, but still it cannot be classified under kingdom plantae. Why?

Fungi are not classified in plant kingdom because their cell wall is different from plant cell wall and is made up of chitin. they also lack chlorophyll and hence can not do photosynthesis and are not autotrophic.

fungi are not considered as plant because they does not contain chlorophyll means they cannot prepare there own food they depend on dead decaying organic matter but plant contain chlorophyll they can prepare there own food
