I believe that you are referring to the anime "Death Note" based on the manga by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata ? If so, I am actually happy to find someone who has a similar interest in anime as me.

Explanation:

Spoiler Alert

You see, people have different intakes on whether Kira's (Light Yagami) actions are right or wrong.  Some support Kira's actions in purifying the world while others (including myself) think it is just plainly wrong to improve the world by inflicting fear in the minds of people.Light Yagami had intentionally wanted to cleanse the world and make the world a place where the good will thrive. He believed the world to be rotten because the good will often end up suffering and the bad will always arise. So he decided to use the deathnote and the idiot of a shinigami to cleanse the world. But, because he obtained that great power(The Death Note),it has influenced him to be someone who plays as God and he developed that Godlike complex. He ruthlessly killed those who opposed him(who believed that fear is not right in purifying the world) like the FBI agents and many other innocent people. I actually thought he was a good person (I mean, it is a good idea to try to improve the world but not by killing.)but when he killed those who opposed him and other innocent people,I grew an intense dislike for him. So yeah...that is all. Remember, different people have different perspectives on Kira and L.

Thanks for reading. Hope I answered your question.
