Correction in the Question :

Kirti bookstore sold books worth Rs 2,85,891 in the first week of June and books worth Rs 4,00,768 in the second week of the month. How much was the sale for the two weeks together? In which week was the sale greater and by how much?

Kriti bookstore sols books in the first week of June = Rs. 2,85,891

Second Week of June = Rs. 4, 00 , 768

The Sale Together

First Week of the month + Second Week of the month

2,85,891 + 4,00,768

⇒ Rs. 686659

Greater in Which Week and by how much ?

sale was greater in second week

(4,00,768 - 2,85,891)

⇒ Rs. 114877

Therefore , Our Required answer is Rs. 114877

Proper question :

Kirti bookstore sold books worth Rs. 285891 in first week of June and books worth Rs. 400768 in the second week of this month ( June ). How much was the scale for the two weeks together? In which weak was the scale greater and by how much?

Solution :

Scale for the two weeks of June altogether = Rs ( 285891 + 400768 )

Scale for the two weeks of June altogether = Rs. 686659

As per the question,

1st Week of June = Rs. 285891

2nd Week of June = Rs. 400768

1st Week < 2nd Week

285891 < 400768

In 2nd week of June, scale was greater.

By how much = Rs.( 400768 - 285891 )

=> Rs. 114877

The scale of 2nd week was greater than the 1st week of June by Rs. 114877.
