Answer: I’m too in the search of answer of this question. Although I know he used to practice a lot and he had a great art of mimicry. He could just mimic any person just by talking to them for a few minutes. That is what he usually did before singing his songs for many actors like Dev Anand, Rajesh Khanna, Shashi Kapoor and so on. But keep his mimicry aside, he could sing hardcore classical raga based songs despite his lack of knowledge of classical singing with such a beauty that is something even I couldn’t understand till now.
