Solution :-

let both wire wire of resistance is R .

so , when connected in series , equvalent resistance is 2R .

when connected in parallel , equvalent resistance is R/2

now , heat production at constant current

heat = I² R t

for series case heat = I² × 2R × t

for parallel case heat = I² × R/2 ×t

ratio = ( I²Rt/2 ) / 2 I² t

ratio of two case = 1/4 = 1:4 ans .
