as reactivity of tin is less than iron and it does not corrodes easily it is electroplated on iron to prevent food from rancidity and kitchenware from rust

Answer: This is done, to make it less reactive.

Explanation:

Kitchenware is generally made up of aluminium or zinc metal. These metals are somewhat reactive because they lie above in the reactivity series.

Reactivity series are the series of metals which determine the reactivity of metals.

The kitchenware are electroplated with Tin because the reactivity of tin is very less than the reactivity of aluminium and zinc and this metal thus does not react with many substances and the food we eat is fine for eating.

Hence, kitchenware are generally electroplated with tin.
