Knock ! knock ! "is anybody there?" asked the stranger. Hearing his voice, I was greatly surprised. I rushed towards the door and open it. Suddenly I found that the man was my teacher, Mr. Amit, who taught me in when I was in school.

I was surprised to see him after four months. He had come to give me a scholarship that came from the Central Bureau of Education for those students who scored above than 95 percent marks in 12th Board Exams. And I was one of those students.

He seemed to be very tired as if he had a lot of trouble in finding my house. He immediately asked for a glass of water and I gave him water without any delay.

"Why are you so surprised to see me? Did you forget me?" he said. "No... no.. Sir. How can I forget you Sir? You are my favourite teacher" I said. Only then my mother came and said "oh ! my goodness ! Meeting you after a long time. How are you Mr. Amit?." "Everything is fine."

My mother offered him coffee or tea but he said "No thanks Mrs. Sharma but I have come here for a very important work."

He took out some papers from his bag. That was an invitation and a certificate of scholarship. He gave them to me and said "as you also know that you have scored above than 95 percent marks in 12th Board Exams hence, you have got a scholarship from the Government to study in a reputed college without any charges. Keep going and work hard for future. Now you have to attend the ceremony in the school and this is your invitation card. Please come with your parents and alight."

By listening these words my mother was very pleaded. She hugged me tightly and said "you deserve it my child." I was very happy and surprised because I didn't know that I would also get scholarship.

Even after requesting very much, Mr. Amit didn't stop for a cup of tea because he had to go many other places to invite the toppers and surprise them by the scholarship.

That morning was an amazing morning for me when I got a pleasant surprise as a scholarship.
