Kofi worked twice as many hours as Kwame. Kojo worked 3 more hours than Kwame. If they worked a total of 31 hours, find the number of hours each worked

Let Kwame's work hours be x.

Kofi's work hours= 2x

Kojo's work hours= x+3

Totla number of hours of all three= 31

So,

x + 2x + x + 3= 31

4x + 3= 31

4x= 31- 3

4x= 28

x= 28/4

 = 7 hours

Kwame's work hours= 7 hours

Kofi's work hours= 7x2= 14 hours

Kojo's work hours= 7+3= 10 hours
