b is the mean proportional between a and c

therefore b² = ac

now (a²+b²)(b²+c²) = a(a+c) c(a+c)

(a²+b²)(b²+c²) = a c (a+c)²

(a²+b²)(b²+c²) = b²(a+c)²

(a²+b²)(b²+c²) = (ab+bc)²

so

(ab+bc) is mean proportional of (a²+b²) and (b²+c²)

Answer:

B²=AC

RHS =(A²+B²)/(B²+C²)

=(A²+AC)/(AC+C²)

TAKE A COMMON IN NUMERATOR AND C IN DENOMINATOR

=(A(A+C))/(C(A+C))

A+C CANCELS OUT

=A/C

LHS= A/C
