Kolbe's process is the chemical process in which Phenol reacts with CO2 + H+ and NaOH while heat is supplied gives Salicylic acid or Hydroxybenzoic acid.

Reaction:-
Ar-OH (NaOH - CO2 + H+) -------> HOOC- Ar- OH
