Since the temperature directly depends on the latitude and the landmass. That's why Jamshedpur is colder than Kolkata. Similarly, in between Antarctica and the Arctic, both are surrounded by the ocean. But Antarctica is colder than the Arctic because of the same reason of latitude and landmass.
