Answer: There is 20.67% gain in selling remaining part of land.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since  we have given that

Worth of plot of land = Rs. 96000

At loss of 6%, \frac{2}{5} part of land .

At whole transaction, there is gain of 10%.

We need to find the gain percentage of remaining part of the plot to gain 10% on whole.

We will use "Mixture allegation":

        Gain            Loss

          x                   -6

                    10

-------------------------------------------

10+6              :             x-10

16                  :             x-10

Since they are in the ratio of 3:2 as only \frac{2}{5} part of land sold at loss of 6%, i.e. \frac{3}{5} part of land sold at gain of x%.

According to question, it becomes,

\frac{16}{x-10}=\frac{3}{2}\\\\2\times 16=3(x-10)\\\\32=3x-30\\\\32+30=3x\\\\62=3x\\\\x=\frac{62}{3}=20.67\%

Hence, there is 20.67% gain in selling remaining part of land.
