Even though Kondiba was blind, he had a good mind and a good character. He had the courage to jump into the well without even giving a second thought. Even though he felt tiredness, he did not give up his plan.
The cry of Aravind’s aunty gave him inspiration to look deep into the water and that made him think that he should get out of the well only with Aravind. When he felt a pain in his spine and muscles, he wanted to drop his effort.
But then, he realized that the only hope of Aravind is he himself and if he drops the plan, the little boy would have no choice other than to face death. He was blind but it was the decision he had taken at that time that introduced a turning point in his life.
