Steps of Construction:

Step : 1. Draw a line segment BC = 4.5 cm.

Step : 2. Construct ∠XBC = 30°

Step : 3. Taking B as centre, and of radius 2.5 cm, cut the ray BX at D such that BD = 2.5 cm.

Step : 4. Join CD.

Step : 5. Taking C as centre and radius more than half of CD, draw two arcs on either side of CD. Now, taking D as centre and with same radius cut the previous two arcs at R and S respectively. Join RS intersecting BX at A.

Step : 6. Join AC.

Thus, ABC is the required triangle in which BC = 4.5 cm, angle B = 30° and AB - AC = 2.5 cm.
