Pujari is an occasional journalist. Mr Pujari is best known for his article A
Village Lost to the Nation that appeared in the Indian Express in 2009. In the
article, the author recalls how he lost his home because of the Hirakud Dam
constructed by the Indian Government across the river Mahanadi. This was an
unplanned development and he was one among the many people who lost his village
for the well-being of the nation.
