Answer:

let age of Arjun be

x

and age of Shriya be

y

then according to question x=2y−−−(1)

and five years ago

x−5=3(y−5)

x−5=3y−15

x−3y+10=0−−−(2)

using eq(1)

2y−3y+10=0

y=10

and x=20

∴ age of Arjun is 20 and age of Shriya is 10

Answer:

Let the present age of Rama be x years.

Present age of Krishna = 2x

Five years ago ,Krishna's age = 2x - 5

Five years ago, Rama's age = x-5

By the problem,

2x-5 = 3(x-5)

2x - 5 = 3x - 15

3x - 2x = -5 +15

x = 10

Present age of Rama = 10 years

Present age of Krishna = 20 years
