Kuldeep saved 1/4 so remaining is 3/4.
spending on suitcase= 3/4 ×4/9= 1/3.

he has left after saving and spending on suitcase= 1- (1/4+1/3) = 1-(4+3/12)= 1-7/12= 5/12.

if saving is included in money he has left then
he has left= 1- 1/3= 2/3.

Answer:

a) 1/3

b) 5/12

Step-by-step explanation:

Given, one by four of his money were saved,

Thus, remaining money after saving = (1-\frac{1}{4})\text{ of the total money}

=\frac{3}{4}\text{ of the total money}

a) Now, four by nine of the remaining money were spent on a suitcase,

So, the total money spent on suitcases = \frac{4}{9}\text{ of the remaining money}

=\frac{4}{9}\times \frac{3}{4}\text{ of the total money}

=\frac{1}{3}\text{ of the total money}

b) Since, the money he have left finally = Total money - ( Total saving + Total spending on suitcases )

=(1-\frac{1}{4}-\frac{1}{3})\text{ of the total money}

=\frac{12-3-4}{12}\text{ of the total money}

=\frac{5}{12}\text{ of the total money}
