S.P = Rs 2296

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

  • Cost price of mobile phone is Rs 2050.
  • Profit percent earned on selling is 12% .

To Find:

  • What is the selling price of phone ?

Solution: To find selling price when cost price and profit percent are given we use the following formula

S.P = (100 + Profit%/100) × C.P

Putting the values on the formula

\implies{\rm } S.P = (100 + 12/100) × 2050

\implies{\rm } 112/100 × 2050

\implies{\rm } 112/10 × 205

\implies{\rm } 112/2 × 41

\implies{\rm } 56 × 41

\implies{\rm } 2296

Hence the selling price of mobile phone is Rs 2296.

Now we have

  • S.P = Rs 2296
  • C.P = Rs 2050

Here is profit so Profit = S.P C.P

Profit = Rs (2296 – 2050)

Profit = Rs 246

Profit % = Profit/C.P × 100

12 % = 246/2050 × 100

12 % = 24600/2050

12 % = 12 %
