Distance between starting point and end point.

Explanation

We have to extend the line from the starting point and it forms a triangle which will be a right angled triangle.

Base will be 3+2=5km

height will be 9-4=5 km

By pythagoras theorem we can find the distance from the starting point and end point=$\sqrt{5^{2} +5^{2} }$

=$\sqrt{25+25}$

=$\sqrt{50}$

Hence the distance between the starting point and the end point will be root 50.
