Kush's bowling average (runs conceded per wicket) decreased by 0.6 runs/wicket when he took five wickets and conceded 41 runs,in a match.If his initial average was 22 runs/wicket,how many runs did he concede before his match?

The runs conceded by the bowler = 2420

Let the number of wickets taken till last match=x

The total number of runs conceded upto last match = 22x

Number of wickets in the match = 5 and runs conceded = 41.

Total wickets = x +5

Total runs conceded = 22x + 41

Average = (22x + 41)/(x+5) = 22-0.6

=> 21.4 = (22x+41)/(x+5)

=> 21.4x + 107 = 22x + 41

=> 0.6x = 66

=> x = 110

The number of wickets taken = 110

Number of runs conceded before the last match = 22x

= 2420
