Answer:

No.

Neutralization reaction refers to the chemical reaction between acids and bases and balanced chemical reaction refers to the reaction where the number of atoms are equal on both product and reactants side

No...

Let me explain both the reactions to you...

I know it is too long but for sake of understanding please read it once.

I assure you that your 90% doubts will get cleared.

And also these are my own words.

It took a long time to write all the facts here..And sry for giving the answer late.

NEUTRALIZATION REACTION:

Acid +Base=Salt+Water

In this reaction a acid gets mixed with base to produce salt.

It is a neutralization reaction because both the chemicals gets mixed to neutralize the overall solution. Generally the pH of the solution becomes 7 after the reaction.

But, if you are neutralizing a weak base then the product will be a weak acid (pH < 7) and if you are neutralizing a weak acid then the product will be a weak base (pH > 7).

Example: HCl+NaOH=NaCl+H_2O

BALANCED REACTION:

In a balanced reaction the atoms or ions are balanced on both the sides so as to follow Law of Conservation of matter. Balancing of equation is necessary because atoms are neither created nor destroyed during a chemical equation.

There is no change in the overall reaction by balancing the reaction only the amount of atoms are changed.

For example:

H_2+O_2=H_2O

It is not a balanced equation. As, there are 2 atoms of Oxygen in product side.

So, by balancing it we get;

2H_2+O_2=2H_2O

Also, we can apply balancing in neutralisation reactions too.

They are far different from each other.

Balancing is applied to every type of reactions.
