Complete Question :- A cuboid is of dimensions l = 5 cm, b = 3 cm, h = 2 cm . How many cubes of 1 cm side can be cut out of it ?

Solution :-

Let us assume that, total n number of cubes of 1 cm side can be cut out of cuboid .

we know that,

  • Volume of cuboid = L * B * H .
  • Volume of cube = (Edge)² .

so,

→ volume of cuboid = Number of cubes formed * volume of cube .

→ (5 * 3 * 2) = n * (1)³

→ 30 = n

Hence, 30 cubes of side 1 cm can be cut out of it.
