Let length = 5x
breadth = 2x
width of path = 2.5m

see the diagram. note the dimension of the rectangular area and the path.
Area of path = area of outer rectangle - area of inner rectangle
⇒ 445 = [(5x+5)×(2x+5)] - [5x × 2x]
⇒ 445 = [ 10x² + 35x + 25 ] - [10x²]
⇒ 445 = 10x² + 35x + 25 - 10x²
⇒ 445 = 35x + 25
⇒ 445-25 = 35x
⇒ 420 = 35x
⇒ x = 420/35 = 12m

length = 5x = 5×12 = 60m
breadth = 2x = 2×12 = 24m
