let the no is x

l.c.m +h.c.f = 600

14h.c.f+h.c.f= 600

15h.c.f=600

h.c.f=600/15

h.c.f =40

l.c.m =40× 280

l.c.m=560

since; l.c.m × h.c.f = product of two numbers

560×40=280+x

560×40/280=x

40×2=x

x=80

Answer:

Let the other number be 'x'

Given:LCM + HCF=600

14HCF + HCF=600

15HCF=600

HCF=40

LCM=14 x 40=560

Since HCFxLCM=Product of 2 Numbers

= 40 x 560 = 280 x X

x = 40 x 560

_______

280

x=40 x 2
