then L.C.M. of two numbers will be 3x

X + 3x = 64

4x = 64

x = 64/4

X = 16

H.C.F. of two numbers is 16

L.C.M. of two numbers is 3 * 16

= 48

one number * other number = H.C.F. * L.C.M.

48 * X = 16 * 48

X = (16 * 48)/48

X = 16
