Short answers:-
1) The elements affecting the climate are latitude, altitude and pressure and winds, distance from the sea (continentality), ocean currents and relief features. Latitude and altitude: The most important climatic control is latitude. Latitude affects the temperature of a place.
2) Climate can be affected by mountains. Mountains receive more rainfall than low lying areas because as air is forced over the higher ground it cools, causing moist air to condense and fall out as rainfall. The higher the place is above sea level the colder it will be.
3) The climate of a place near the sea is neither very hot nor very cold. This is because land heats up and cools down quickly.
