1) An orthodox Brahmin, Sivasubramania Iyer, was Kalam's science teacher in school. He was a very tolerant and broad-minded person. He was a rebel who wished to bring about a transformation in the society and was mentally prepared to confront hindrances during this process.

2) Sivasubramania Iyer's wife was very orthodox Brahmin and conservative wife, was something of a rebel. ... His wife was horrified at the idea of a Muslim boy being invited to dine in her ritually pure kitchen. She refused to serve Kalam in her kitchen.

Answer:

Siva subramania Iyer was the science teacher of APJ Abdul Kalam. He tried  his best to remove the social barriers at Rameshwaram. He invited Abdul Kalam for a lunch and fed him with his own hands even though he was an orthodox brahmin and kalam was a muslim

His wife was totally opposite of him. She hated Kalam's presence at her ritually pure kitchen. She couldnt digest a muslim sitting at her house, but later she understood her mistake and served kalam with her own hands the second time
