Conclusion

In the pure water and in the more dilute solute solutions,the potato would have gained weight from the water that soaked into the potato (water moving towards the solute).

The potato should have shrivelled because the water that was inside the potato cell would move out of the cell into the solution around the potato.

Potato that was soaked in water gained

weight,flexible and lost momentum.The

potato in the empty bowl lost weight due tolosing its water and it's firm.
