To test that oxygen is evolved during photosynthesis few fresh Hydrilla plants in a glass beaker filled with water. A pinch of KHCO3 is added to it. It is kept in sunlight. After some time some bubbles (oxygen) escapes from the plant. This proves that oxygen is produced during the photosynthesis.

AIM:To prove oxygen is evovled during photosynthesis in the presence of sunlight. -While removing testtube ,place your thumb near mouth of testtube to prevent escape of gas(oxygen) evolved and remove gently. PROCEDURE:1)Place hydrilla plant twigs in a short stemmed funnel and keep it in a beaker containing water.

results:when we put it in the dark places. there are almost no bubbles coming out in the water. because not occurs photosynthesis process until the oxygen not release.
