Why sugar solution as when we place the cell in sugar solution due to exosmosis tge water from the cell comes out and cytoplasm shrinks ... Plzz clear my doubt
Yes the cell shrinks so the cell membrane shrinks and not the cell wall . So an empty space is created between the wall and membrane . So this is filled up by sugar solution.
Then why does wilting happens as cell wall is not shrinked
during wilting the vacuole shrinks and not the cell wall. the cell wall dont shrink in plasmolysis even
wilting occurs when the cell is surrounded by the hypertonic solution and to this the solution enter the empty space between cell membrane and vacuole
