lalit got 50% marks in hindi, 75% in english and 90 marks in maths. The maximum marks in each of the subjects were 100, 140 and 160 resp. Find his aggregate percentage

hindi =50
english=105
maths=90
aggregate percentage = 50+105+90/400*100=245/400*100
=61.25%

total marks in hindi = 100
% of marks secured = 50%
hence marks secured in hindi = 50/100×100=50............(1)

now.
total marks in english= 140
%of marks secured in english= 75%
hence, marks secured in english= 75/100×140=105...........................(2)


now.
total marks in maths =160
marks secured in maths = 90...............(3)

Now,
Total marks secured = 50+105+90=245
total maximum marks =400
therefore,
aggregate % = 245/400×100= 61.25%.......ANS.
