Given:

Deb.ts owned by Lalit = Rs. 20000

value for 1 Rupee = 70 paise after bankruptcy

To find:

How will bad deb.t account be debited after Lalit's insolvency.

Solution:

Total deb.t = Rs. 20000

Rs. 1 = 70paise

rs20000 =  \frac{70}{100}  \times 20000

1 Rupee = 100 paise

rs20000 = rs14000

Therefore, bad deb.ts account would be debited by Rs. 14000

The correct option from the above is option (d)
